HOSPITALITY CLASS

This is the last Sunday to sign up for the Hospitality Class starting next Sunday. The class will be held on September 12 and 19 from 5:00 to 6:00 before the evening service. This will take place back in the fellowship hall. Be sure to bring your Bible and something to write with.

We will be studying what the Bible has to say about hospitality, why it is important, and practical ways to implement it in your life. If you would be interested in attending this class please indicate this on your bulletin tear-off.

The old Russian word for hospitality literally means, “love for strangers.”   We often think of hospitality as taking in people we know and like for a snack after church.  The Russians remind us that true hospitality is about opening our hearts and our homes to those who may never be able to reciprocate.  As the Bible says, “Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it” ( Heb. 12:2).  (Printed from our missionary book:  “The Tower of Babel Was a Bad Idea” by Amy Crofford.
